It's made of AR glass fiber woven mesh then coated with fire-retardant latex. The coating doesn't only protect the glass fiber inside from acid material, but also can stop the fire from spreading. Therefore, even after being burned, the EIFS system will not be on fire and remains intact. Fire-retardant Fiberglass Mesh 4.5oz is very popular in North America like USA, Canada and Mexico etc., because of excellent performance of fire resistance, super soft and high tensile strength. It plays the role of "soft steel" when embedded in EIFS system and can avoid the deformation of entire insulation structure caused by exterior pressure or squeeze, therefore it can enhance the durability and longevity of insulation structure.
